This last Sunday was our first wedding anniversary--we've been planning a trip for a while for a get a way weekend. We rented a cabin in near Dubuque and it was awesome--there were three cabins--two were empty except for a group in one of them on Saturday night. They were out in the middle of nowhere and beautiful! Here's a view from our cabin:
And the cabin itself--it had four bedrooms in the tower--we were not lacking on space!
On Saturday we went to a local winery for a wine tasting (neither of us had ever done that before but it was fun, and there was a really cute dog there)
Then on Sunday we went to Dubuque to walk along the Mississipi
So fun, Amy! Glad you guys got a getaway :) Yay for trips!
ReplyDeletelooks nice, quiet and relaxing! :) we are going to send the kids to grandma and grandpa's house over labor day and take a "staycation" here at home :) can't wait!
